Vintage Costume Jewelry, Vintage Copper Jewelry, Matisse Jewelry, Renoir Jewelry, Rebajes Jewelry, and much more!
Collectors who appreciate art design and especially copper art jewelry are
often drawn to the creations of two designers: Francisco Rebajes of New York and
Jerry Fels, also known as Renoir of California. Rebajes is considered the first
copper art master. His designs were made from the 1930s through the 1950s. Today
he is the leading designer of copper jewelry and associated objects.
Matisse designs, created in the 1950s and 1960s, are avidly sought by copper
collectors worldwide. Renoir produced copper jewelry until about 1964. The
"Matisse" mark was used on the stunning enameled copper pieces which were
produced starting in the early 1950s. Renoir also had a "Sauteur" line of
sterling silver jewelry which were made between the mid 1950s and 1960. Later,
in the early 1960s, this line was re-designed and brushed with a gold finish.
These pieces are part of the "Golden Glow" line and were made from 1961-1963.
